Raquel F. Concepcion, Ph.D., LMHC is a licensed mental health counselor and bilingual therapist specializing in the treatment and assessment of children. Dr. Concepcion received her bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida and earned her master’s degree from Florida International University in Mental Health Counseling. After working in a community setting in early childhood prevention and intervention services, she returned to academia, obtaining her master’s and doctorate degrees in School Psychology from the University of Florida. She completed her clinical training with Fundamental Therapy Solutions in Gainesville, Florida and her post-doctoral training with the University of Miami’s Autism Spectrum Assessment Clinic and the Mailman Center for Child Development’s Parent-Child Interaction Therapy program. Dr. Concepcion is also certified as a Within Agency PCIT trainer and therapist, working with families in PCIT since 2015. Her clinical and research interests include early childhood, parent-child attachment, preschool and school-aged children’s social emotional development, social-communication concerns, disruptive behavioral disorders, teacher engagement, and professional development.
