Jillian Simon is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern. She completed her undergraduate degree at Boston University and earned a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. She is under the supervision of Nicole Swaggerty-Valdes, Ph.D. She is also completing the two-year Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Course through Florida Psychoanalytic Center.
Jillian has always felt a deep calling to help others heal. Her prior experience as yoga instructor led to her understanding of how people store their pain and suffering in their bodies. Her thirst to learn more about yoga, mindfulness, and Eastern philosophy led her to travel to India to study yoga and meditation. She cultivated tools based on Eastern philosophy that she finds essential when addressing anxiety and depression. She combines these tools with an exploration of unconscious patterns of behavior in talk therapy to help her clients reach their highest potential. She hopes to be a vehicle of change by helping others better understand their emotional patterns of relating to themselves and others and how these patterns affect them in their everyday life. Jillian provides a safe and non-judgmental space that will allow you to feel heard, supported, and cared for. By developing a strong therapeutic relationship, Jillian will guide you as you work towards your most authentic self.
